This unique handprinted collagraph with chin colle was made on heavy acid-free cartridge paper (220 gsm). It was inspired by visits to the mountains and glaciers of Ladakh, a granite and gold landscape at the northern border of India. The print itself is about 4x6 inches.

Collagraph is a process of printing textures from a collage of different materials to create an image. The name comes from the Greek 'koll' or 'kolla' meaning glue, and 'graph' meaning drawing. Chin colle is the process of attaching thin pieces of paper, in this case tissue paper that I have inked beforehand, to the image at the same time as I take the print from my collagraph plate.

The print will be shipped hinge-mounted mounted on acid-free mountboard.

Returns are not accepted, but let me know if you have any issues and I'll see what I can do.
